The mechanism
Three tiers, one colour system, learned once
Gambit's newsfeed is not a firehose with a search box. Each item is graded before display: urgency 3 means the desk judges it capable of moving markets, and the row stripes red; urgency 2 is notable, an amber pip; urgency 1 is context, a green pip. The same three colours grade signals across the whole terminal, so triage read on the feed transfers to the calendar, the alerts, and the tape.
One chip does most of the work: WATCHLIST cuts the stream to the names on your list, which is what turns a general feed into your feed. The others widen or narrow from there: KEYWORD ONLY, ALERT, ALL, MACRO, CURATED. Every row is timestamped to the minute and symbol-tagged: a Benzinga item on Ark's Nvidia buy arrives tagged ARKF, ARKK, ARKQ, ARKW, ARKX, NVDA, PLTR.
The discipline
Read every event in three passes
A red row tells you to stop reading. It does not tell you what to do next. Three questions do, in this order, and each has a tab behind it.
One, urgency. Does this deserve attention now, or is it background? That is the tier, and it is decided before the item reaches you.
Two, scope. Is this one company, a sector moving together, or the market changing style? SECTORS and ROTATION settle it, and the answer usually matters more to the trade than the headline does.
Three, expectation. Was it scheduled, and did the number differ from forecast? CALENDAR holds the prior and the estimate, which is what turns a number into a surprise.
Urgency is a judgment about attention, not a forecast of price. A tier 3 headline can leave the tape unmoved, because the market expected it, does not believe it, or has decided it matters less than it reads. That gap is information too, and it is why the three passes beat trading the tier.
The suite
Eight tabs, eight questions
A headline tells you what happened. It does not tell you whether one name moved or the whole sector did, whether the tape is changing style rather than reacting to anything, or whether the print was on the schedule all along. The other seven tabs settle those, and they sit on the same desk, so the follow-up never costs you the thread.

How is the news feed triaged?
Each headline is graded into one of three urgency tiers before display: 3 (can move markets, the row turns red and pulses), 2 (notable, amber), 1 (context, green). The same colour system grades signals across the entire terminal.
Which sources does the feed cover?
Squawk and wire sources plus X accounts. Items in a single captured session came from Benzinga, Cointelegraph, The Block, Polymarket and X accounts such as WuBlockchain, each timestamped to the minute and tagged with the tickers it touches.
Can I filter the feed to my watchlist?
Yes, and that is how the desk is meant to be read: the WATCHLIST chip narrows the triaged stream to the names on your list, so curating the watchlist once is what makes the feed relevant.
